At CIROBE, publishers who are exhibiting are selling their excess inventory (overstock), either
New book publishers who sell books at CIROBE find new markets for their material which usually do not impact front list sales. Often, a book with a limited audience as a new book will find a much broader audience as a bargain book. (See the page on pricing books at CIROBE.) Keep in mind, however, that many publishers and remainder companies have rights restrictions as to where they can sell their books. To save time and avoid confusion, attendees should ask about minimums and rights restrictions with any CIROBE exhibitor before beginning to place an order.
The common element among the diverse range of publishers represented at CIROBE is that all of them are selling their product at a discount off the full retail price.
Publishers at CIROBE are looking to sell off batches of books and remove them from their warehouses. They can do this either via a white sale or bid list. Publishers at CIROBE may also be looking for customers for hurts (returns.)
