How to register to attend CIROBE
Registration to attend CIROBE as a buyer is handled by the CIROBE office in Chicago. The ATTENDEE REGISTRATION FORM is accepted by mail or fax, a registration may be phoned in, or attendees can REGISTER ONLINE.
Throughout the year, CIROBE solicits names and addresses for a mailing list. The main mailing to past attendees and this list takes place in August, and includes a registration form, hotel information, and a list of exhibitors who have signed up for CIROBE the current year.
Pre-registration deadline
Preregistration for CIROBE 2012 is due by Friday, October 12, 2012. One can also sign up for CIROBE at the door. Pre-registration/registration for each year's show usually opens the previous January.
Cost to attend
CIROBE pre-registration is $25 per person and is not refundable. This registration fee includes admission for all three days of CIROBE as well as a copy of the program which lists all exhibitors.
Registration at the door is $40 per person, also not refundable, and likewise this registration fee includes admission for all three days of CIROBE as well as a copy of the program. Admission is not pro-rated for late registrations (i.e. arrivals on Saturday or Sunday.)
Discounted admission pricing may be available to groups of 25 persons or more. Interested parties should contact the exhibits manager.
Badges
Badges show that an attendee has registered for CIROBE and must be worn at all times for admission to the CIROBE exhibit floor. Badges are mailed to all pre-registered attendees, time permitting. If time does not permit an attendee(s) badge(s) to be mailed, CIROBE holds the badge(s) at the CIROBE Will-Call desk.
Obtaining a copy of the CIROBE Trade Show Guide and Exhibitor Directory
The CIROBE Trade Show Guide and Exhibitor Directory is distributed at the Expo and includes contact information for all the exhibitors, as well a short company description. In addition a copy of the Trade Show Guide and Exhibitor Directory from the previous year is available to attendees who register for the current year.
CIROBE is an ordering show
CIROBE is set up for exhibitors to take orders for books in their warehouses, and then ship those orders after the show. Exhibitors usually display sample copies of the books for sale, or, if they have a lot of books, they may have just the dust jacket or a list or catalogue.
International Attendees
CIROBE is happy to welcome visitors from other countries and will gladly issue a personal letter of invitation that can accompany a visa application. To obtain such a letter, please visit our visa information page to obtain information about how to request the letter.
